Free phone calls from Vernon to Osoyoos; service launched by ispeed Communications Inc.
KELOWNA –
ispeed Communications, an Okanagan based internet and telephone company today launched a new larger free local calling area for its telephone customers. ispeed also launched new availability of phone service in all of Kelowna, Oliver, Osoyoos, Peachland, Penticton, Summerland and West Kelowna.
Speaking about the service ispeed’s President Mr. Dave Bradich said “We recognized the need of our customers to not have imaginary boundaries on where their local calling area is. Why should a customer in Peachland talk to a friend or a store where they shop in West Kelowna and have to pay long distance? That’s just not right!”
ispeed’s local calling area is now all the way from Vernon in the north down to Osoyoos at the U.S. border. “We decided to make all of the areas we offer phone service in one local calling area” Mr. Bradich went on to say. “Additionally, if you are calling a (250) phone number you just dial the seven digit number. Why should you be forced to dial (250) when the system can do it for you?”
Mr. Bradich also announced the expanded area ispeed could now offer phone service in. The areas now served are Vernon, Oyama, Kelowna, West Kelowna, Peachland, Summerland, Penticton, Oliver and Osoyoos and numbers are able to be ported to ispeed for free.
